Hi Lena
Our return to the workshop from Monaco. Then a quick tour of the workshop.
As you can see, we actually have a Swedish driver this year! He is racing in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship. I have no idea how he is doing! Sorry, too busy doing F2 to notice what else is happening at Carlin at the moment!
There are also pictures of the boss's office filling up with trophies. He keeps all of them. It is impossible to display them all, so many are boxed up and in storage!
The picture of the Red Bull car shows the World Series by Renault car that was raced with us by Sebastian Vettel. I remember the very first time he drove this car. It was, "Wow! This kid is special!" He was so fast straight away and an obvious talent. This kind of thing doesn't happen very often. It is so cool when it does!
I'm afraid that's it! It has been interesting for me, as I said before, to have Gustavnallen along with me and be able to give you all an insight into our world of motorsport.
It all seems very glamorous but means lots of hours of work along with expectation and pressure. The highs are great when you get them and you have to try to enjoy them as much as possible when they do come along because there are always more lows!
(Unless you work for Mercedes F1 that is!)
I will endeavour to get Gustav in the post tomorrow. You did actually have a return by date of 6th June on his sign, so I didn't have to make any changes. I will see if I can specify a delivery for 3rd to 6th June so he gets back during the week.
